I was born in Alberta and grew up on an acreage where we had arabian horses and a home made plane.
After high school I had the honour of attending the Western Summer Science Program where I made a number of lifelong friends.
I studied general engineering at the University of Calgary for 2 years. I left to pursue my Electrical Engineering and Computer Science degree at the University of Waterloo because I didn't want to be converted into a chemical engineer on the oil patch.
I am glad that I pursued my dreams in communications and computer science because the Internet turned out to be as big a deal as I thought it would.
I graduated during hard times but was fortunate to have a multi-faceted communication career with Bell Canada which combined my passions of engineering, Internet communications, product management, project management, organizational behaviour, and marketing.
I have lived in Orleans (Ottawa) most of my adult life. It is where I met and married the love of my life, Ginette. We have been happily married for over 30 years. We are both very proud of our 3 children and 2 grandchildren.
I am currently living the dream of continuing to work in communications and education in my own company, Sharp Innovation Solutions. I am applying innovation to help small businesses and individuals keep moving forward and communicate to connect with people to achieve their objectives.
